Google's head of mobile in Japan resigns
John Lagerling, head of Google's mobile unit in Japan, has left the "Do No Evil" company.
He joined Admob to become VP and General Manager of Japan for the mobile advertisement firm.
This news comes at the time when the Google phone open-source platform, Android, is about to reach the shores of the country.

I've gotten the impression that the Android rollout has been unnaturally subdued. Of course, I'm coming from the perspective of public relations; I also tend to be very critical, perhaps looking too hard to find fault.
