"I double checked with two staff in the Apple store as I was setting up my phone and they both stated that the problem was specifically Softbank's servers. They said that AU also had some small problems but they were fixed pretty quickly."

"I should note however that the staff at the Shibuya Apple store have been awesome as always. Must be really tough for them having to deal with customers regarding a problem that's out of their control."

"This sucks! I've been in the line at Shibuya Apple Store since 12:30am. It looks like <10 people have actually left the store with a device. Softbank had better make this up to us somehow!"
